What an amazing weekend! I'm still digesting it all and will post in reference to that as the brain-cells become available, but for now I just want to say THANK YOU to all of those who made the event happen.
Crystal - Allyson & the Gate-people - Thank you so much for you sacrifice and diligence at the gate. This 'thing' couldn't happen without you. You are the Heart & Soul of it in my eyes and I can't express how Thankful I am to have you there.
Both Ashley's, Ben, Toph, Dom, Jerry, Jeff, Matt, Paul, Dann, Hal, Forest, Mark, Migly, Jerry, Bob, John B., who am I missing?... - ,... Thank you for your hands, your muscles and your brains. We got allot of work done and it would have been simply impossible without you.
Jerry Richardson - Every year you put it all out there to do the sound/lights and whatever else needs to be done to get the bands going and every year I hear people say how amazing the sound is. You never let us down. You are a gift.
Judy & Paul - UNREAL! Your food was so good and you ran a such a great scene. You were also a HUGE part of the Heart & Soul of the whole event and it wouldn't be the same without you there! Thank you!
Bob - I never get to see you during the actual event but I just want to say how powerful your spirit is and the spirit of the parties that you've thrown over the past 25 or 30 years in that field. Thank you for donating your land. What you give to Live Music and the people who love it is amazingly generous and each and every one of is Grateful. We love you Bob Fletcher!
And on one last note, I want to thank the person who put the fishing pole in the memorial tree. I was completely over-joyed to see that and remember Joe Parris and what he might say about the whole event. He was a friend to us all and would have been happy to see us all so happy. I can picture him looking down on us while we were all dancing hard to Grayson and the Boys on Saturday night, and smiling. That's what we do this for.... and to remember.
Peace to you all and check back in the next year for more words, photos and soon, some video.
Peace
